Background Information – What are SSPs?
- The National Agreement on Closing the Gap (CtG) outlines the following elements of a strong community-controlled sector under Priority Reform Two: Priority Reform Two – Building the Community-controlled Sector | Closing the Gap
- Dedicated Sector Strengthening Plans (SSP) are key to progressing implementation of Priority Reform Two.
- Four SSPs have already been developed and are at various stages of implementation. The Domestic, Family, and Sexual Violence (DFSV) SSP is one of three SSPs currently being developed along with the Justice SSP and Languages SSP.
- FNAAFV has been endorsed by the Coalition of Peaks to lead the development of the DFSV SSP in partnership with the Department of Social Services.
