The FVPLS Ecosystem

Our Ecosystem

The FVPLS ecosystem represents a national network of Aboriginal Community-Controlled Family Violence Prevention and Legal Services working to support First Nations women, children and their communities impacted by domestic, family, and sexual violence.

Together, these services deliver culturally safe and unique “wrap around” service provision, that recognises and responds to the needs of First Nations communities, providing the holistic supports necessary to address the interconnected factors that prevent, respond, and heal family violence.

The FVPLS service delivery model includes case management, court support, child protection advice and intervention, service system referrals, advocacy, kinship liaison, outreach and education, and recovery and healing programs.

FVPLS’ can also provide clients and their children with specialist legal services and support in relation to family violence, protective restraining orders, child protection, victims of crime compensation, and witness assistance law.
